Certainly single folks enjoy their travel, as do childless couples. When kids enter the picture, trips are often reduced both in frequency and length, but kids do not automatically cut travels out of parents' lives. At least one vacation each year involves travel for the average American family. Whether for family responsibilities, education, hobbies or interests, work, or fun, trips gets to be made and no family should forgo the travel experience, it is simply a matter of getting the right tools first. What exactly are the "right tools?" The right tools is a short list of items that caters to a child's limitations, needs, and interests. Children are small, tire easily from physical exertion, have short attention spans, and need to feel safe, comfortable, secure and desire to have familiar things around them. They need to be entertained, and need good healthy food at regular short intervals. Travel strollers, travel cribs, and travel kits that include a variety of games, a stuffed "travel friend", and some low sugar healthy foods and snacks is just what you need. Plan in advance to have these items and your family trips will take on whole new levels of ease, comfort, and enjoyment. Travel strollers are smaller, lighter versions of the regular "at home" super strollers; they fit in airplane overhead bins, and when the need arises they can typically carry luggage in lieu of children. We all know how tiring it is to walk the long airport distances. Those hikes quickly use up little kids' energy, exhausting them, and bringing on the "carry me's" and whines which can lead to tantrums. The last thing you desire is to have to haul all your luggage AND carry a child or two down that long airport concourse. Get travel strollers. Once at your gate you get a chance to sit and rest. However, if your energized child goes wandering off you will get no down time, and constantly having to keep up with the kids is no rest either. Pull out the baby travel bed, set it up by your seat, and you instantly have a contained environment that is familiar and comfortable for your child to play in, while you rest and maybe even do a little reading. Travel cribs are a delight for your child, a godsend for you, and a huge relief to your travel neighbors. Now, and while on the plane, are good times to give your child their travel kit and dole out the snacks yourself as needed. The games and stuffed animal will typically keep your child occupied for most of the wait to board and to land. Traveling can be a world of fun for adults with and without kids. A few simple tools can make the experience that much more easy and even make it fun for the kids, too. A happy child helps create happy parents, and happy nearby adults who are traveling as well.
